Diagnosis, Diagnosis, Diagnosis - Diagnosis is the key to successful treatment of orofacial pain. No-one wants to provide a splint for someone with a tooth problem, or worse still a cranial tumor. This study day we have some experts for you in different areas of diagnosis. We will cover CBCT imaging, electronic modes of diagnosis, and very importantly differential diagnosis of orofacial pain conditions. Once we have whet your appetite with this line up, we would also like to invite you to participate in our Annual General Meeting. AACP 18th May 2013 – Local Chapter Cranial Growth: From the Embryo to the Orthodontic Patient

On Saturday the 18th of May saw an excellent turnout for the 1st local AACP chapter day Titled "Cranial Growth: From the Embryo to the Orthodontic Patient". Four speakers presented, in order of their presentations , we heard Dr Mark Hill on the embryological development of the head and neck; Ms Rochelle MacPherson on orofacial myofunctional therapy and its contribution to treatment of functional and parafunctional problems influencing the growth and development of the Orofacial complex; Dr Amanda Gamble on Adolescent Sleep as she called it the "Perfect Storm" ; and finally to round off the day Dr Cary Fraser discussed treatment of the orthopaedic/orthodontic patient....
